Safeguarding
Everyone at St James Church and the other churches in the Benefice take their duty and obligations in promoting a safer church extremely seriously. We follow the House of Bishops Safeguarding Policy for children, young people and adults.

Everyone should feel safe at St James. We have a safeguarding officer to advise and monitor our policy and processes. Our safeguarding policy is available below.

We have an approved method of safely recruiting and training all church roles (paid and voluntary) which involve working with or overseeing children or vulnerable adults. Our safer recruitment procedure includes obtaining Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificates and training, which are renewed every 3 years.

If you have any safeguarding concerns at all please contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer:
Ruth Saunders: safeguarding@stjamesbramley.org.uk
or Rev'd Mark Anderson at revmarkanderson4@gmail.com
or call 07480 067756

If there is immediate risk or danger please contact the police on 101 or 999.
